Douglas & Grahame has appointed former AMG managing director David Snowdon to the same role at the brands house.
The business was without a managing director for just over six months following the departure of former managing director Duncan Smillie from the business in October last year.
Snowdon, who most recently held the position of managing director of footwear brand house AMG until February 2009, will take up his position at Douglas & Grahame at the start of May. Since February 2009 Snowdon ran his own brand management consultancy called David Snowdon Brand Management Ltd.
Prior to his role at AMG, Snowdon held several senior management and sales positions at companies including sports fashion footwear brand K-Swiss and footwear and clothing label Rockport.
Douglas & Grahame owns menswear brands Remus Uomo, Douglas, Daniel Grahame and 1880 Club.
In its last set of accounts filed at Companies House for the year to May 31 2010, Douglas & Grahame turned over £20.7m, down from £23.6m the year before. Operating profit fell from £583,000 the previous year to £468,000.
