Dr Martens has appointed Mathieu Garcia, vice president of marketing at Ralph Lauren’s European operations, as its new global marketing director.
Garcia worked at Ralph Lauren for 12 years in various roles having joined in 2005 as marketing manager. He previously held roles at active lifestyle brands Salomon and Arnette.
In his new role, Garcia will report to global senior vice president of product and marketing Darren Campbell.
He will work with the global product teams to drive the brand’s “go-to-market” plans behind its seasonal collection launches and communication strategies, while monitoring best practices across regions.
