Dr Martens plans to open five more stores across the UK and Ireland before the end of the year.
The footwear retailer and brand kicked off the expansion strategy by opening a new 847.5 sq ft store in Reading on 21 July.
The shop follows a similar store concept to the Camden flagship, which opened in a grade II*-listed 19th-century building in the heart of Camden Market in April.
The Reading store features art work by local artists and will host performances by bands from the surrounding area.
Dr Martens declined to list the locations of the five new shops but said all stores would reflect the local area, as well as the brand itself.
“Our stores really resonate with customers as they encapsulate the Dr Martens brand ethos, as well as the local community,” said Emily Hall, UK retail marketing manager.
“We have a strong brand identity and our customers like to feel part of that.”
Dr Martens currently has 31 stores in the UK, including the Reading store.
