Department store chain John Lewis took home three major awards at this year’s Drapers Awards, including Department Store of the Year and Larger Etailer of the Year.
The ceremony, which took place on Wednesday night at the Grosvenor House hotel in London, saw York premium indie Sarah Coggles take home awards for best Independent Retailer of the Year and Buyer/Buying Team of the Year.
Miles Gray, the former chief executive of Ben Sherman, was honoured on the night with the Drapers Lifetime Achievement award for his outstanding contribution to the industry.
Reiss was awarded Larger Multiple Retailer of the Year while SuperGroup picked up the gong for Smaller Multiple Retailer of the Year.
Lewis Yates, Billericay in Essex won Best New Business while Wrangler won the award for Marketing Initiative of the Year.
Menswear Brand of the Year went to Pretty Green, Gerry Weber picked up the award for Womenswear Brand of the Year while Luke went away with the award for Young Fashion Brand of the Year.
