Drapers conferences in running for prestigious award

Drapers has been named a finalist in the Best Conference Series category at the Conference Awards 2017.

We have been the fashion industry’s bible for the past 130 years, but 2016 was a ground-breaking year for our conferences.

A portfolio of two long-standing events, comprising the Drapers Fashion Forum and the Digital Forum, and one new conference called the Drapers Operations Forum, together delivered year-on-year revenue growth of 40%.

Revenue from our flagship content-led conference, the Drapers Fashion Forum, grew by 19% to record levels.

This unique event brings senior fashion industry professionals together to debate critical issues. In 2016, the theme was “Fit for the Future” – exploring a board-level vision of what the future will hold for the industry.

Insights were delivered by renowned speakers from market leaders such as AllSaints, Oasis, Debenhams, MySale Group, Anya Hindmarch, New Look and BrandAlley.

The Drapers Digital Forum, which investigated how fashion retailers can increase online sales in a highly competitive market, enjoyed similarly impressive revenue growth of 18% last year, and achieved a net promoter score of 50.

Also in 2016, in response to market demand for more practical “how to” advice, Drapers launched the only event in the UK focusing on the topic of fashion retail operations.

The Drapers Operations Forum brought together senior supply chain, IT and operations professionals, in an extremely successful debut.

The winners of the Conference Awards 2017 will be announced at an event in London on 30 June.
