Drapers Digital Awards winners 2019 revealed

Sosandar and Marks & Spencer were double winners at the Drapers Digital awards 2019 this week.

The womenswear etailer won Digital Team of the Year, sponsored by Poq, and Best New Online Business, sponsored by Optimove, at the glittering ceremony at The Brewery in London on 15 May.

Judges said Sosandar was ”a well-rounded business that executed its business plan brilliantly, resulting in an impressive growth story”.

Marks & Spencer won the award for Best Use of Digital Personalisation, sponsored by True Fit and Multichannel Delivery Offer of the year, sponsored by Exponea. 

Judges were impressed with how M&S addressed a problem with a specific customer segment, and ”created a niche answer that brought a digital solution to a traditional problem”.

Best Website Design was won by P&Co. Judges were impressed that, despite being a small business, it had created ”an edgy and authentic design to really engage its customers”.

Shop Direct won Best Use of Social Media.

Farfetch was named Best Digital Retailer, sponsored by Bouncex. Judges said the etailer is “the true definition of a leading digital business”.

Best Digital Customer Engagement and Retention Strategy, sponsored by Bluecore, went to Luisaviaroma.

PrettyLittleThing founder Umar Kamani was honoured by joining the Drapers Digital Awards Hall of Fame. 

Several categories were live-judged on the day at Drapers Digital Festival.

Best App was won by Bestseller and Best Use of AI, sponsored by Nosto, was won by N Brown Group. 

Best Use of Digital Marketing, sponsored by Translate Media, was won by Matalan, while Ebay was highly commended. 

Best Digital Innovation, sponsored by HVO Search, was won by George at Asda. 

And Best Use of Technology In Store, sponsored by Hitachi, was won by Harrods.
