Drapers editor wins prestigious journalism award

Drapers’ Keely Stocker has been named Editor of the Year (Trade and Professional) at the British Society of Magazine Editors Awards 2018.

Keely has held various roles at Drapers since joining in 2005 as administrative assistant, including online editor and deputy editor. She was part of the team that launched in 2007.

Since becoming editor in 2015, she has overhauled the brand’s content across print, digital and events, ensuring Drapers remains an essential read for those in fashion retail.

The judges said Drapers was an ”appealing and compelling magazine with a beautiful design”.

They added: “It is a traditional brand that [has its finger] on the pulse, chronicling its topic through a time of great change.”

I am very glad I left Drapers in such capable hands! This is a brilliant and well-deserved accolade for Keely personally and a great acknowledgement of the work of the team as a whole. Onward and upward!
