DSquared signs Pollini for women's footwear

Premium Italian fashion brand DSquared has appointed Pollini, part of the Aeffe Fashion Group, to produce its women's footwear line for autumn 07, following the end of its licence with Vicini. The brand's women's footwear range has about 250 international stockists including Selfridges, Harrods and Harvey Nichols in London, Brown Thomas in Dublin and Cricket in Liverpool, and sells about 18,000 pairs of shoes each season. DSquared designers Dean and Dan Caten plan to increase sales to about 60,000 pairs per season. Prices will range from £68 to £350 wholesale. The menswear line is currently produced by Galizio Torresi. DSquared's ready-to-wear lines are licensed to Staff International. A mono-brand boutique is planned for autumn 2008.
