Dune London has hired Fitflop EMEA general manager, James Radford, as its new international franchise and wholesale director.
Radford replaces Ben Jobling, Dune’s former international director, who has joined Debenhams as Asia-Pacific regional retail director. Jobling reports to international retail director Jason Lewis, who joined the business days after Jobling.
Radford worked at Fitflop for three years. Before that he headed up the international merchandising team at footwear manufacturer The Rockport Company, where he was previously head of sales in the EMEA markets.
Dune chief executive James Cox, who replaced John Egan in the leadership role at the end of August, said: “International expansion is a focal part of our overall growth strategy.
“James will be instrumental in the delivery of this plan by focusing efforts on specific markets with best in class support strategies and tactical initiatives which are regionally appropriate and perfectly aligned with our product and marketing investments.”
During September, Dune launched a new store in the Middle East and two stores in Zurich, Switzerland and Belgrade, Serbia.
The Serbian launch marks its first foray into the region, which the brand plans to use to explore further expansion opportunities in the Balkans.
Executive chairman Daniel Rubin said: “This is a significant step in our strategy to become the leading global affordable luxury footwear and accessories brand.”
