The Dune Group has hired former Ralph Lauren director Rob Silsbury as ecommerce and marketing director.
At Ralph Lauren, Silsbury was senior director of EMEA marketing and ecommerce. He has also worked at Ralph Lauren as interim senior vice-president of the EMEA digital and ecommerce business.
At Dune he will be responsible for strengthening the brand and overseeing the company’s digital strategies to maximise online sales in the newly created role.
The Dune Group chief executive John Egan said: “Rob’s appointment comes at a very exciting time with our continued investment in marketing and the merger of the ecommerce and marketing teams into one collaborative department as key areas of focus.
“Rob will help us find new ways to innovate in an aggressive and ever changing market and showcase our brands in the most exciting, new, and convenient ways possible.”
Silsbury, who will report directly to Egan, added: “The opportunities are vast and while we already have some fantastic innovations in place such as a customer facing single view of inventory across channels, I am confident that we can elevate our brands, develop a best-in-class digital strategy and offer a truly seamless experience for our customers across all channels.”
