Duo become English Eccentrics

English Eccentrics, the premium womenswear brand founded in 1984, has agreed a licensing deal with designers Louise Thompson and John Fairlie, formerly of womenswear brands Shirin Guild and Betty Jackson respectively.

The two designers are working at the original English Eccentrics studio in north London, and have produced an autumn 09 collection inspired by calligraphy, with giant quill or parchment writing prints and ink-dipped details on silk dresses, knitwear and oversized scarves.

Prices range from £50 to £90 for tops and shirts to £210 for jackets and coats. Stockists include The Dresser in Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire, and Doyles in Market Harborough, Leicestershire.
