E-trader Group snaps up Koodos

E-trader Group, a software development company founded by fashion entrepreneur Harold Tillman who retains a 2.5% stake in the business, has bought discount fashion e-tailer Koodos.

E-trader operates in the overstock market, allowing retailers and manufacturers to sell bulk stock online to trade buyers via its website platform,

Koodos trades with more than 200 brands including Chloe, Diesel and Original Penguin at discount prices, and the deal allows E-trader to move into the consumer market.

E-trader chief executive Harvey Sinclair said:”This acquisition enables E-trader to broaden its offering to retailers and manufacturers looking for a more efficient channel for their overstocks and clearance.”

The company was set up by Tillman, who is chairman of the British Fashion Council and Jaeger. Tillman bought heritage brand Aquascutum in September.
