eBay axes same-day delivery pilot

eBay has stopped its same-day delivery service after a pilot programme failed to be popular with shoppers.

The company’s chief product officer, RJ Pittman, said the business would continue to explore different ways of getting products to its 25 million users despite the closure.

The service, which was available in New York, San Francisco, Chicago, and Dallas, will be available for the next few days, but will close completely on Friday, July 31.

  • A simple bit of research could have predicted this outcome. Fail fast, fail often is for fools with deep pockets.
