To celebrate the start of the Six Nations Championship, rugby-inspired lifestyle label Eden Park has appointed England rugby players Tom Wood and Joe Launchbury as brand ambassadors.
The brand has been the official formalwear supplier of the England team since 2010, dressing the players for all of their pre- and post-match functions at both the Six Nations and Rugby World Cup this year.
“We are very much looking forward to working with both Tom and Joe,” said founder and president Franck Mesnel. “They are great ambassadors for the Eden Park brand. Not only is Tom a brilliant flanker, he is also an accomplished vice-captain and family man.
“Joe represents the fantastic young, up and coming talent coming through in this year’s England squad - at just 23 years of age he is already considered one of the world’s best players in the second row.”
The brand has launched a new ‘Third Half’ collection for spring 15, which comprises casual outerwear, checked shirts, collegiate inspired jackets, polo shirts, chinos and shorts, priced between £74 and £466 at retail, in navy, light blue, grey and orange.
From April, Eden Park will run small pop-up units in Harrods at London Heathrow and London Gatwick with the new licensed ranges. The company is in negotiations with Aelia for London City and Glasgow airports, as well as for airports in Paris, Dublin, Rome, Milan and Dublin.
Eden Park has 22 owned stores in France and 450 stockists globally. It will open 10 new franchise stores this year in Amman, Abu Dhabi, Madagascar, Algeria, the Philippines and China.
In the UK, the brand is stocked by 18 independent retailers and has one franchise store in Belfast.
