Elizabeth Emanuel seeks £1.5m investment

Designer Elizabeth Emanuel has hired consultancy firm Beer & Partners in a bid to raise £1.5m to fund her business.

According to the Telegraph, Emanuel, who is famous for dressing Princess Diana, is aiming to raise money in order to capitalise on the renewed interest in her business after last year’s royal wedding. Emanuel will use the funding to re-launch her label Art of Being and also recruit a chief executive.

According to reports the funds will be raised in three parts. The first £150,000 is expected to be raised by the end of this week after Emanuel pitched to investors over the last week. The second chunk of investment, around £400,000, is expected to be given in September, with the rest following next year.

Emanuel is also on the hunt for a chief executive with Emanuel taking the role of creative director. “The missing link at the moment is a chief executive who will have the most important input, besides me,” she said.
