Emanuel Ungaro has appointed Estrella Archs as chief designer and has created the new position of artistic adviser for actress Lindsay Lohan.
Both Archs and Lohan worked with the luxury fashion house on its spring 10 runway collection, which will show at Paris Fashion Week on October 4.
Archs has previously designed for Nina Ricci, Emilio Pucci and Prada. She replaces Esteban Courtezar, who left Emanuel Ungaro at the end of July.
Emanuel Ungaro president Mounir Moufarrige said the new structure reflects the transition of the brand from a designer-led fashion brand to a designer and consumer-led fashion label. He said his vision lay in “combining the eye of a fashion creator with the eye of the ultimate luxury consumer, a celebrity.”
He added: “ Lindsay is a world consumer with a clear eye for fashion.”
