Emma Somerset poised to go into administration

Womenswear chain Emma Somerset is poised to enter administration today.

The 10-store womenswear chain is expected to close this week after a deal to sell the business collapsed at the eleventh hour.

Five stores have already been shut down.

Insolvency practitioner Armstrong Watson is expected to be appointed later today.

Emma Somerset was rescued out of administration by Moda in Pelle owner Stephen Buck in March last year.

Buck is not expected to attempt to buy Emma Somerset out of administration.
