Emma Watson to collaborate with Alberta Ferretti

Actress Emma Watson is reported to be working with womenswear designer Alberta Ferretti on an organic fashion line.

The Harry Potter star confirmed to US-based magazine Us Magazine that she was working with the designer but would not be drawn on details, such as the name of the range. However, it is understood that Watson drew her inspiration from 1960s actress Jane Birkin and it will be launched after Christmas.

Watson said the designer contacted her after seeing the range she helped to create with ethical fashion brand People Tree this summer.

She added: “I will put it out there that I will work for anyone for free if they are prepared to make their clothing Fair Trade and organic.

Watson has also modelled for Burberry appearing in its autumn 09 and spring 10 advertising campaigns, although she did not feature in the advertising for autumn 10.
