Antipodean sheepskin footwear brand Emu Australia is to open a European head office in London.
The opening will be part of a wider push by Emu Australia to increase international sales and provide better support services for its UK customers.
Paul Neate, owner of Emu Australia, said: “We are looking to further develop our distribution networks in Europe, as well as build our existing business.”
Peter Lynes, ex-sales director at Fred Perry, has been appointed as general manager for Europe. He has been tasked with finalising the London showroom and building a sales and admin team.
The company will retain its Hamburg sales office and German distribution hub.
Emu Australia is stocked in more than 10,000 doors worldwide. The brand’s range includes short and high sheepskin boot shapes and wool-lined boots in a spectrum of colours. To find out more call 0116 278 7159.
