Emu footwear launches localised global websites

Australian footwear brand Emu has launched a global transactional website to serve key markets including the UK and Europe, New Zealand, China, Canada, the US and Japan.

The business, which manufactures boots and slippers made from natural materials for men, women and children, now sells to over 70 countries via localised versions of Emuaustralia.com. Retail prices range from £45 for Merino wool felt slippers to £220 for full grain leather boots.

Global ecommerce manager of Emu Sue Meehan said the site will provide a mobile experience, showcase the brand story and include product content and social media aggregation.

Emu Australia worked with platform solution firm Demandware and local ecommerce consultancy Amblique on the project.
