End to open London store

Premium menswear independent End is planning to open a London store, Drapers understands.

It is believed the retailer will open a three-storey shop in the former Jaeger head office on Broadwick Street in Soho.

One source indicated the opening is scheduled for January next year. End declined to comment.

Drapers can also reveal that head buyer at premium menswear etailer Oki Ni, Christopher Fisher, has joined the End buying team.

Fisher had worked at Oki Ni since January 2015 and was previously a menswear branded buyer at Asos for two years.

End, which was established in 2005, has two stores in Newcastle and Glasgow. The original store on High Bridge Street in Newcastle moved to a flagship store at 133-137 Grainger Street  in the city centre in November 2015 as the business celebrated its 10th anniversary.

The second shop at 196 Ingram Street in Glasgow opened in December 2016.

Both existing store fits feature marble, concrete, brushed steel, reclaimed brickwork and natural maple wood.

The business stocks contemporary menswear brands including CP Company, Visvim, Nike, Kenzo, Balmain, Comme de Garçons, Stone Island, Thom Browne and Lanvin.
