Ermenegildo Zegna moves into ecommerce

Premium menswear brand Ermenegildo Zegna has launched its first ecommerce site as part of a strategy to engage with shoppers using online platforms and social media.

The global online store offers products such as jackets, shirts and trousers from the brand’s Centennial Collection and spring 11 collection. The store is available in four languages – English, Italian, Spanish and Japanese.

The company said the move forms part of a new digital strategy, which will focus on interacting with consumers through ecommerce, mobile and social media.

Chief executive Ermenegildo Zegna said: Today the global world of digital marketing is a necessary and significant pillar perfectly complimentary to our brand strategy. With regard to this, we are developing a series of activities in order to involve our customer in a global Zegna experience. The launch of our online store is a natural brand evolution and the first step of our second century.”
