Escape nets sales via BSSA

Young fashion retailer Escape Clothing has launched a new website as part of a British Shops and Stores Association (BSSA) scheme which helps members save 25% on web development fees.

The BSSA helped Escape Clothing thrash out a 25% discount with ecommerce provider, and the retailer’s relaunched website went live earlier this year.

Escape Clothing sells clothing brands including Ted Baker and Ichi alongside footwear by Ugg Australia and Vagabond. The business had a transactional website prior to the redesign but managing director Sean Whelan wanted to boost online sales, as only 5% of Escape’s total sales came via the website.

Since the relaunch online sales have increased by 30% thanks to new customers from the UK and overseas.

Escape Clothing has four clothing stores in Chiswick in west London, Teddington and Twickenham in Middlesex and Weybridge in Surrey, as well as a second shop selling footwear in Weybridge.
