Designer Eudon Choi, who shows at London Fashion Week, is preparing to launch his debut resort collection next month.
The collection comprises 40 pieces including knitwear and separates adorned with dolls and rocking horses, and the designer’s signature tailoring with bow details in a silk/cotton Mikado fabric. It will drop in mid-November.
Choi took his inspiration for the collection from the wooden toys that members of the Bauhaus movement made for their children, including the Bauhaus Bauspiel, a toy designed by Bauhaus apprentice Alma Siedhoff-Buscher in 1923.
The collection is called Bauklotz, the German word for the brightly coloured wooden blocks that made up the Bauspiel.
Stockists already signed up for the collection include luxury etailer Avenue32.com, Fenwick, Isetan Japan, and 10 Corso Como in Korea.
Wholesale prices range from £30 for a cotton T-shirt to £248 for a trench coat.
Choi said: “I saw this resort collection as a real opportunity to have a little more fun with my design style and introduce some more playful elements. And so, my clean aesthetic and structured silhouettes have been relaxed with colour and motifs.”
