Eveden Group rescues Huit from administration

Lingerie brand house Eveden Group has bought French lingerie label Huit out of administration.

Eveden, which manufactures and distributes lingerie and swimwear brands including Fantasie and Freya, completed the deal to buy Huit today.

Eveden will take immediate control of Huit and said its priority would be to deliver outstanding spring 10 orders, which have been held since Huit went into administration in February.

Tracy Lewis, chief executive of the Eveden Group said: “The Huit brand complements our existing portfolio of fuller bust and full figure brands and allows us to expand our customer base to offer all women from an A to a K cup fabulous style lingerie and swimwear, expertly designed especially for her.”

Eveden said the majority of Huit employees will be retained by Eveden and that Huit operations will continue to be based in Rennes, France.

Lewis added: “We are excited to have such a prestigious French brand in our portfolio and look forward to supporting the Huit team to develop the brand’s potential in the future.”
