Ex-BHS owner Chappell to contest director ban

The former owner of BHS, Dominic Chappell, plans to contests the Insolvency Service’s bid to ban him from being a company director and sue Arcadia Group boss Sir Philip Green, it has been reported in the national press.

It was announced in March that the Insolvency Service plans to ban Chappell from holding a directorship for up to 15 years. Three other former BHS directors could also face a ban by the government body.

BHS, which Chappell bought for £1 in 2015, collapsed in April 2016.
