Ex-Jimmy Choo owner mulls bid for Kurt Geiger

Private equity firm Lion Capital is understood to be exploring a £250m takeover of high street footwear chain Kurt Geiger.

The former owner of Jimmy Choo is among a number of bidders who have submitted offers for the business, according to Sky News.

Lion Capital sold Jimmy Choo in 2007.

Kurt Geiger’s management and their backers at US private equity firm Sycamore Partners, hired bankers at Goldman Sachs to explore a sale of part or all of the business earlier this year.
