Exclusive: House of Fraser’s commercial director to exit

House of Fraser’s commercial director Shahnila Rashid is leaving the business, Drapers can reveal.

Drapers understands that HoF has made changes to a handful of teams, relating to responsibilities and accountabilities at leadership levels, and Rashid is leaving as a result of these changes.

Prior to joining HoF in March 2017, she was a buying and merchandising consultant.

Before that she was vice president merchandising director at TK Maxx for nine years and held a variety of roles at Topshop, River Island, BHS and Debenhams.

The move is the latest in a series of personnel shake-ups at the House of Fraser.

In February HoF’s executive director for buying and design Maria Hollins, Peter Gross, chief operating officer since 2008, and Julian Burnett, chief information officer since 2015, left the business.

In the same month Reiss’s chief digital officer Simon Pickering joined as buying and merchandising director for clothing and accessories.

In March former Fenwick director David Walker-Smith joined in the new role of chief product and trading officer last month, as exclusively revealed by Drapers.

House of Fraser declined to comment.
