Exclusive: Missguided technology chief to exit

John Allen, chief technology officer at Missguided, is leaving the business to join womenswear etailer Nobody’s Child as chief executive, Drapers can reveal.

Allen joined Missguided in 2015 and was previously IT director at Ideal Shopping Direct, and head of IT at both Asos and MandM Direct.

Allen told Drapers: “I have always said that Missguided is the most exciting fashion brand on the planet, so it will be incredibly sad to leave as I have spent nearly four years here and played a huge part in its success. I have loved working with [CEO] Nitin Passi and both he and Missguided will leave a big hole in my life.

“I’m currently at the end of my notice period and the move is entirely amicable. I wish Nitin, Missguided and all of the teams there every possible success in the future.”

Allen will join Nobody’s Child in November.

Nobody’s Child was started by Andrew Xeni, director at family-run manufacturer Misfit Fashions, in 2015. The company has its own design studio and factories in the UK, Europe and Asia.

As well as selling through its own site, it is stocked by Asos and Topshop.
