Exclusive: Pair exit Ugg Australia’s EMEA team

Sheepskin boot giant Ugg Australia has confirmed the departure of two key members of its European team.

EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) sales manager Cristina Bucci and Pauline Bhatti, a buyer for the EMEA region, are expected to leave Ugg Australia’s parent company Deckers Outdoor Corporation imminently.

A spokeswoman for Ugg Australia declined to give details on the exact timescale for the departures or whether either has a new role lined up elsewhere.

In a statement issued by Ugg, the brand said: “EMEA is currently looking to recruit mid-level management members to add and replace skill set to key areas to continue growing the business.”

Bhatti has been with Ugg for nearly three years while Bucci joined in December 2009 as European sales manager for the Teva brand, also owned by Deckers, before moving over to work for Ugg in July 2011.

In February this year it emerged that Ugg planned to stop supplying etailers Asos and Cloggs, young fashion mini-chain Aspecto, footwear retailer Footasylum and young fashion chain USC from autumn 12.
