Exclusive: Tom Ford mulls ambitious retail growth

Tom Ford’s London flagship looks set to kick off wider retail ambitions for the designer, who has revealed ambitions for up to 100 standalone stores internationally.

Speaking with Drapers as he unveiled his latest menswear collection at LC:M, Ford confirmed the Sloane Street store would open its doors this autumn.

Although Tom Ford has concessions in Harvey Nichols and Selfridges, this marks his first standalone retail presence in the UK.

The designer said he had always hoped London would be his first location for a standalone store, but the move had been delayed because “finding the right site had proved very difficult”. He has a presence in New York, Las Vegas, Beverly Hills and Milan.
