Explosives found in Paris department store

Five packages of explosives have been found and disarmed in Printemps Haussman department store in Paris, according to reports.

According to the BBC, the landmark Printemps Haussmann store was evacuated and cordoned off after explosives were discovered earlier today.

A letter signed by a group calling itself the Afghan Revolutionary Front warning of "several bombs" placed in the store was received by French news agency AFP.

It quoted a French interior minister saying the packages did not include any detonation device.
