Export Awards finalists unveiled

The shortlist for the UK Fashion Export Awards has been revealed and includes finalists for the inaugural Ethical Fashion Award.

Henry Poole & Co, Ben Sherman and Henri-Lloyd are shortlisted for the menswear award, while the womenswear nominees are Frank Saul Fashion, Lezley George and Sarah Arnett.

Alison van der Lande, Blossom Mother and Child, Goat, Ramon Gurillo and Rocio are up for New Exporter of the Year.

Designers battling it out for the accessories prize are Alex Monroe, Babette Wasserman, Billy Bag, Regent Belt Company and Simon Carter Accessories.

Brands competing for the kidswear award are Emile et Rose, Indi-Jo and Tickittyboo.

Those shortlisted for the inaugural ethical fashion prize are Ciel, From Somewhere and Gossypium, while the lingerie and beachwear award finalists are Emily B, Pistol Panties and Silk Cocoon.

Winners of the Gold Award for Exporter of the Year and the Export Personality of the Year will be announced at the ceremony on June 12. The event, which takes place at The Landmark London hotel, will be hosted by comedienne Helen Lederer, with awards presented by HRH The Princess Royal.

Among the prizes are free stands at Premier Kids, Pure Accessories, Lyon Mode City, Pret a Porter Paris, or The Train in New York. A financial support and advice package worth £20,000 from Federal Express Europe is also up for grabs.
