Farfetch appoints non-exec board member in tech push

Farfetch has named technology guru David Rosenblatt as a non-executive board member.

Rosenblatt is chief executive at luxury goods marketplace 1stdibs, which he joined in 2011. He is also a board member at companies including Twitter.

Before his role at 1stdibs, Rosenblatt was chief executive at advertising technology vendor DoubleClick, where he worked for 11 years until 2008.

Farfetch founder and co-chairman José Neves said Rosenblatt has a “wealth of experience in building global technology-based businesses”.

Rosenblatt said: “Farfetch and 1stdibs have similar business models and customers, yet a different product offering, and I look forward to working with the company to further its growth.”

Dame Natalie Massanet, the founder and former executive chairman of Net-a-Porter, joined Farfetch as non-executive co-chairman in February.
