Fashion Enter buys tailoring manufacturer

London-based not-for-profit training organisation and factory Fashion Enter has bought tailoring manufacturer Gloria Fashions for an undisclosed sum.

Gloria Fashions specialises in high-quality production and has made garments for top-end British labels and royalty.

Founded in 1956 by brothers Robert and George King, the family business has been run in recent years by Robert’s son David.

Fashion Enter CEO Jenny Holloway said: “I have high respect for David, his wife Janice and daughter Mandy. To me Gloria Fashions has always been a bastion for high quality reliable production and to now have the opportunity to work alongside David is just fantastic news for the industry.”

David King added: “To now be working in the new government tailoring academy with Fashion Enter means I can pass on decades of skills and expertise to a new generation. I have long admired Jenny for the work she does on education. This is a new exciting chapter and nothing will change for our clients. We are going to carry on making even more production as we have record orders now.”
