Fashion Rocks store to debut next week

Fashion Rocks, the music-meets-fashion event part-backed by fashion entrepreneurs Angus Morrison and David Douglas, will throw open the doors to its first retail store in Meadowhall shopping centre, Sheffield next week.

The shop, called FR by Fashion Rocks, will stock a selection of men’s and women’s premium brands including Angomania, Bologaro Trevor, M by Missoni, Twenty Eight Twelve, See by Chloe, Alice by Temperley, J Brand, Pretty Green, Luke, McQ, Heritage Research and British Khaki.

FR by Fashion Rocks, which will launch next Thursday, will feature a state-of-the-art video wall showcasing Fashion Rocks events and exclusive videos developed solely for the FR concept.

It will also feature touch-screen stations, which enable shoppers to browse and purchase exclusive items both from the store and from the FR by Fashion Rocks online store, also due to launch imminently.

The Meadowhall launch is a pre-cursor to a large-format Fashion Rocks shop, which is planned for later this year.

Fashion Rocks was founded in 2003 as part of an initiative to raise money for the Princes Trust. The concept was to bring together big-name designer catwalks with live music performances - in fusions such as Armani and Beyoncé, Lily Allen and Chanel, and Mariah Carey and Versace - in high-profile cities such as London, Miami and Rio de Janeiro.

The idea to turn the Fashion Rocks franchise into a retail concept was first mooted 12 months ago.
