Fashion sales rise at John Lewis

Fashion sales at John Lewis rose by 4.6% for the week to 7 July, driven by a mix of clearance offers, the launch of new season ranges and customers looking for hot weather clothing. 

Sales of own-brand fashion collections were up 88% year on year, boosted by the popularity of Kin. 

Overall sales at the department store chain fell by 0.3% for the week compared to the same time in 2017.
