Manchester-based fast fashion etailer Missy Empire has posted record sales after generating £500,000 in turnover in August.
Turnover for the month to 31 August rose by 22% on July, with the last day of the month generating more than £30,000.
Owner Ash Siddique said its performance can be attributed to a number of factors, including launching pieces before its competitors and its own-label ranges.
Siddique said: “MissyEmpire.com has gone from strength to strength in the two years since we started trading, and August is a testament to not only the hard work of the team, but [also] Missy Empire’s high standing in such a crowded marketplace.
“We’re proud to have established ourselves in the market so quickly and hope to continue to celebrate record months as we continue to grow and attract new customers.”
Missy Empire, which has grown its team from three people to 24 members of staff, said it is on track to exceed its annual £6.5m turnover target.
The online business hosts over 3,000 different lines, with retail prices ranging from £5 to £80.
