Fenwick to open new outlet in Bracknell

Fenwick is to open its first new outlet in over a decade in Bracknell, Berkshire.

The department store chain is reportedly in talks to open a new store as part of a £750m development by Legal and General Property and asset management company Schroders.

According to The Independent the current Bracknell branch of Bentalls, which was acquired by Fenwick in 2001, will close and relocate when the shopping centre is built in 2016.

The scheme, which is being let by agents Lunson Mitchenall and CBRE, has already attracted a selection of retailers, including Marks & Spencer.

Fenwick, which has 11 shops including its New Bond Street flagship store, last launched a new shop in 2003 in Canterbury.
