Tesco’s clothing business F&F has opened its 100th franchise store in the Spong shopping centre near Reykjavik in Iceland.
The store, launched with local partner Hagkaup, stocks the full men’s, women’s and kidswear collections. It is F&F’s fifth in Iceland.
Hagkaup managing director Gunnar Ingi Sigurdsson said: “Our aim is to make the F&F brand the biggest affordable fashion brand in Iceland in the next 12 months and we are well on the way to achieving that.”
Richard Collins, chief executive of F&F, added: “The fact we have franchise partners in 15 different countries has meant we’ve been able to learn a great deal from each market and adapt our strategy to suit the needs of customers.”
The first F&F franchise store opened in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in May 2012.
