Licensing and distribution firm Fight For Fashion has filed for insolvency, calling in a corporate recovery specialist to assist with the liquidation.
The Leeds company, which distributes young fashion brands including streetwear labels UFC, Affliction and Xtreme Couture, was registered as insolvent this month, with BWC Solutions appointed to help place the company into liquidation.
According to the Fight For Fashion website, the company distributes premium clothing and sportswear to more than 180 retailers including Selfridges, Urban Outfitters, JD Sports and Asos.
The first creditors meeting will take place on June 4 at BWC’s office in Park Place, Leeds.
The company did not respond to requests for comment.
Earlier this year, Drapers revealed the extent to which distributors are struggling as retailers increasingly extend their payment terms.
Shortly before Christmas, Blustocking, the distributor of women’s young fashion brands Little Mistress and Lipsy, was registered as insolvent.
