Italian sportswear brand Fila is launching a new, premium label – Fila Fjord – for autumn 19.
The men’s and women’s wear collection is conceived by Danish designer Astrid Andersen and GQ fashion director Elgar Johnson, and references the brand’s sporting heritage, while introducing a new, more formal element for the brand.
As the popularity of sportswear shows no sign of waning, Fila Fjord introduces a smarter overtone to the trend – perhaps a sign of things to come in the wider market.
Alongside more typical logo-adorned sweaters, technical outerwear and tracksuit shape trousers, the collection features tailored wool coats, fake fur jackets, cable-knit jumpers and slinky knitted dresses.
Tones are muted, dominated by greys, blacks and neutrals, interjected with occasional pops of mustard and burgundy.
Retail prices range from €50 to more than €1,000.
