Fila hires new commerical director

Fila Korea, owner of sportswear brand Fila, has hired Marzio Coizzi as commercial director for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

Coizzi returns to the newly-created role after previously working for the brand for 23 years until 2004. He was vice-president for clothing and footwear licenses. His most recent role was head of retail and wholesale development in Asia at young fashion brand Miss Sixty Footwear.

Coizzi will be based in Italy and he will be responsible for supporting and overseeing the development and image of the brand in the EMEA region. He will report to president Gene Yoon.

Last month young fashion giant JD Sports Fashion signed an exclusive licensing deal with sports brand Fila to sell and manufacture the brand in the UK, Ireland and Channel Islands.
