Finery to launch in six John Lewis stores

Online womenswear brand Finery will be stocked in six John Lewis stores for spring 16, after a successful pop-up trial within the Loved&Found womenswear concept in Birmingham in December.

The London-based brand, which launched in February 2015, has signed a wholesale deal to launch around 60% of the range into the Oxford Street, Peter Jones, Birmingham, Liverpool, Trafford Centre and Cheadle stores.

It adds to existing wholesale arrangements with fellow Rocket International-backed etailers Zalora in Asia and The Iconic in Australia. Finery is also stocked in six Brown Thomas stores in Ireland, following a successful pop-up trial in summer 2015.

Berlin-based start-up incubator Rocket International provided an undisclosed sum to Finery chief executive and co-founder Nickyl Raithatha to launch the brand in Feburary 2015.

Raithatha said Finery is performing ahead of its ambitious full-year targets and it is on track to hit 3 million visits to the site within its first 12 months.

The brand’s design team is headed by former fashion director and Topshop buying director Caren Downie, and her former colleagues Emma Farrow, who was previously designer director at Topshop, and Rachel Morgans, former buying director at Asos.
