Fiona Lambert joins Dunelm

Fiona Lambert has been appointed as product director at homewares retailer Dunelm, it has been reported.

The Mail on Sunday said her appointment was announced to staff at its head office on Friday and comes as the homewares market is increasingly driven by fashion.

Drapers exclusively revealed Lambert would leave her role as Asda’s vice-president of own label development in January last year.

Lambert originally worked alongside the founder of George, George Davies, to set up and launch the first supermarket fashion brand in 1990.

After a period at Next, Lambert returned to George in 2007 as brand director, overseeing the design, buying and quality of George clothing in Asda stores and on George.com. In addition to this, Fiona led the launch of the first ever range of George homeware in 2014.
