First look: A new home for menswear indie Liquor Store

Menswear independent Liquor Store has relocated to a bigger 1,950 sq ft store at The Grand on Birmingham’s Colmore Row.

The retailer, which was named Menswear Retailer of the Year at the Drapers Independents Awards 2016, opened its first store in February 2012 in Birmingham’s Great Western Arcade.

In 2015, founder Phil Hazel opened a separate womenswear and homeware shop in a vacant unit directly opposite.

“The new store is double the size of our previous units across a split-level retail space, including a basement shop-in-shop concept from Universal Works,” said Hazel. “We also plan to open a speakeasy bar in the coming months.”
