First look: Harvey Nichols redesigned accessories and jewellery hall

Harvey Nichols has relaunched its accessories and jewellery area, marking the final stage of the department store’s refurbishment to the ground floor at the Knightsbridge store.

Designed in partnership with interior design firm Virglie+Partners, the designer accessories and jewellery destination spans more than 8,000 sq ft and has a spacious and contemporary feel.

A key element of the design is a marble and copper wall that exhibits an edit of handbags from floor to ceiling. New brands include Perrin Paris, Tyler Ellis and Ming Ray. An additional feature wall, showcasing soft accessories, has been installed with back lighting.

The designer accessories destination also boasts a five star store concierge service that includes The Handbag Clinic which restores and repairs handbags.

The jewellery suite is located on a mezzanine behind the accessories area and acts as a bridge for customers between the accessories hall and the beauty lounge.

Tina Lamb, buying manager for accessories said: “The redesign perfectly reflects our curated edit of brands for a more coherent overall offering. We have introduced a number of new and exclusive collections to sit alongside our existing designer brands that I think will excel in this new space.”
