British footwear designer Kat Maconie has opened her first standalone concept store, in London’s Bermondsey.
The 622 sq ft store is home to Maconie’s footwear line and two beauty treatment rooms that offer facials and manicure and pedicure treatments.
Designed by art director and set designer Emma Larsson-Revitt, the boutique features a colour palette of pinks and oranges and bespoke animal print furniture inspired by Kat Maconie footwear designs.
It also has an in-house bar that serves cocktails and bespoke beverages throughout the day.
‘’After launching in 2009 and achieving the milestone of 10 years in business, this seems the perfect time to open our very own first luxury concept boutique,” said Maconie. “Kat Maconie is a brand that is rooted in London heritage and the team take daily inspiration from the city, so it felt totally natural to launch our first store in Bermondsey where we initially started, also close to our very own British design studio.
“It was integral for us to bring an element of colour, femininity and fun to the boutique just like our bold designs, housing a permanent beauty salon seemed so fitting’’
Maconie won footwear designer of the year at the Drapers Footwear Awards in 2013 and 2018.
