First Look: Manu Atelier launches debut footwear collection

Contemporary accessories brand Manu Atelier has launched its debut footwear collection.

The bag brand, which was co-founded in Istanbul by sisters Beste and Merve Manastir in 2014 and made its UK debut in 2015, became known for its distinctive boxy, contemporary leather handbags.

The brand’s first foray into footwear launches exclusively at Selfridges on 15 May.

Nine styles, including strappy sandals and boxy Mary-Jane shoes, will launch initially, followed by a cowboy boot later in the season. The styles feature architectural heels and quirky, sculptural sillhouettes.

The footwear will also be available on Manu Atelier’s own website and will open up for wholesale for the spring 20 season.

The brand’s handbag offer has more than 40 stockists worldwide – those in the UK include Browns and The Shop at the Bluebird.

Wholesale prices for shoes range from €105 (£91.06) for a sandal to €178 (£154.54) for a boot. 07958 917445 and
