Footwear retailer Mr Hare shutters shops

Luxury men’s footwear brand Mr Hare has closed both its London stores.

The business, which was launched by Marc Hare in 2009, has emptied its two stores at 8 Stafford Street in Mayfair and 22 Powis Terrace in Notting Hill in London.

The move follows the closure of the firm’s website.

A message from the business on its website homepage reads “Mr Hare has gone sailing.”

It continues: “I would like to thank all the customers in not just Mayfair, but also Notting Hill and online who have supported and brandished Mr Hare shoes over the last eight years. Look after those shoes, there may not be any more. It was a blast, while the romance lasted.”

The business launched its first clothing range for spring 16. The business unveiled the 36-piece ready-to-wear men’s line at London Fashion Week.

Mr Hare stockists include Harvey Nichols and Coggles.
